Account Privacy

Modified on Thu, 27 Aug at 4:29 PM

In the preferences section of your account, you have the option to modify certain privacy settings for your projects. You can choose how you want to receive notifications by toggling on either email notifications or browser notifications.

Your profile and edited videos are available only to you. The videos that you create with Renderforest are marked unlisted by default. Unlisted videos can only be seen by people who have a link to them. You can also make your videos private, so they'll be visible only to you, or you can make them available for other Renderforest users to see or share.

Unchecking the "Allow featuring" toggle will prevent your video from appearing in the Renderforest Gallery. Please note that if you choose to make your content publicly available, Renderforest is not responsible for how others use that data. Think carefully before giving your information to anyone else or making it publicly available.

Account Privacy 1

How and why does Renderforest collect my data?

As soon as you open our website, we track your data automatically. We use cookies to improve the user experience — this does not affect your privacy or data security. Unfortunately, our site won't work for those who disable cookies, as they're required to keep you signed in. Cookies are stored for 30 days before being deleted.

If you use one of our AI-powered tools (such as the AI Video Generator or AI Image Generator), any prompts, instructions, or media you upload for that request ("Submitted Materials") may be shared with the specific third-party AI provider used to generate your output — for example, Google, OpenAI, BytePlus, or Black Forest Labs, depending on the model you select. These providers only process your data to generate the output you requested and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing or advertising. By starting an AI generation request, you consent to this processing. See the AI Products section of our Privacy Policy for full details, including which providers are used for which AI models.

Go to our Privacy Policy page for more information on the data we collect and how we use it.

How does Renderforest protect my personal information?

We store all your information in secure databases to help protect your personal data. Information such as credit card numbers or other financial details is deleted from our servers immediately after a transaction is processed. For more details, see our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about our security measures, contact us at dpo@renderforest.com or support@renderforest.com.

Can I ask for a copy of my personal information?

Yes — you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at dpo@renderforest.com, and once we've verified your identity, we'll send you an electronic copy of your personal information within 72 hours. The only circumstance in which we may not be able to provide full access is where doing so would affect the rights and freedoms of others.

What happens to my personal information after I delete my Renderforest account?

When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from active use. However, in line with our Privacy Policy, we may retain certain information for up to 90 days afterward where necessary for legitimate business purposes — such as preventing fraud, resolving disputes, or complying with legal obligations.

Please note that once your account is removed, you'll lose access to our services. If you'd like to rejoin Renderforest, you'll need to complete a new registration — we won't be able to restore your previous account.
