With both fixed-duration and flexible-duration templates available on Renderforest, you can easily find the perfect fit for your video project. By using the Duration filter option on the Video Templates catalog page, you can identify template types that best suit your specific timing requirements

Adjusting Scene Durations
One of the key features of Renderforest video templates is the ability to adjust scene durations directly on the editing timeline. This allows you to customize the timing and pacing of your scenes to perfectly align with your voiceovers, music, or text.
To modify the duration of a scene:
Locate the scene on the timeline: Look at the timeline bar at the bottom of the video editor interface.
Identify the duration handle: Hover over the right edge of the scene block to reveal the vertical adjustment handle bar.
Drag to adjust: Click and drag the handle bar right to lengthen the scene duration or left to shorten it.
Verify the duration: The current duration display (e.g.,
10s) on the bottom-left corner of the scene thumbnail will automatically update to reflect your new time.

Note on Fixed Duration Templates
Please note that if you are working with a fixed-duration template (such as specific high-end 3D logo reveals or rigid motion graphic openers), scene durations cannot be changed, and scene duplication is disabled.
These fixed templates rely on pre-rendered animation sequences with predefined durations and a fixed set of scenes to ensure the final export retains its intended design, music sync, and smooth pacing.
Need More Editing Flexibility?
If you need full timeline control over individual clips, trimming, and scene extensions:
Use the Trim Tool on custom uploaded video clips to fine-tune start and end points.
Try generating your scenes using the Gen AI Video Editor, where scene lengths can be re-prompted or auto-adjusted based on voiceovers and script length.
